I am the President and CTO of Odata Solutions.

Automation is my passion. I learned automation when pneumatic control with 3-15 psi was used for controlling an entire plant in various process industries like refineries, petrochemicals, fertilizer, pulp & paper plants and the like. They still do!

My first job was calibrating a SatNav system (today's GPS) on a naval ship when it was a 19 inch rack mounted heavy weight. It used to take over a day to calibrate, since we had to wait for the satellite to pass over the location to fix the co-ordinates. Now it is embedded and auto calibrated in almost every device. But, even today the devices get the same parameters as it was four decades ago.

As a tech enthusiast, I am thankful to the open-source community without whom the technology landscape would be barren. I encourage our team to try and allocate a part of their working hours to contribute to open source.

Opinionated about software architecture for business applications, I am always intrigued to see how users interact with our applications. I listen to their feedback to make our software better.

My hobbies include tinkering with hardware and electronics, woodworking and gardening.

I like all sports, and have played cricket in University.

Driving across Canada, in the middle of winter is a spectacular and awesome experience. I have great regard and respect for the original inhabitants - the native Indians for their ingenuity to traverse this vast land, and their philosophy to care for and preserve its natural landscape.

I have travelled extensively and always appreciated cultural nuances and opportunities to form new connections.
